How the maths works

Why £45/month is the real price — not a loss-leader.

Three reasons it costs less than you'd expect, and stays sustainable.

One person, no agency layers

No account manager, no project manager, no subcontractor, no junior to train. Jordan designs, builds and supports every site. That cuts the cost a UK agency charges by roughly 70–80%.

Hand-coded, low maintenance

A WordPress site needs 30+ plugin updates a year. A hand-coded site needs almost none. Less ongoing dev time per site = lower price per site, sustainably.

Bulk-economy edge hosting

Cloudflare's UK edge serves your site for pennies a month, on the same network that powers Shopify and Discord. Hosting is the cheap part now — the price reflects that.

How it works

Four steps to live.

  1. 1

    Tell me about you

Start your subscription (or message me first). I take your business, your services and your old site if you have one.

  2. 2

    We build it

I design and build your site on modern infrastructure — written around your trade, not a generic template.

  3. 3

    You review it

You see it on a live preview link. I tweak it with you until it's right — no surprises.

  4. 4

We launch & keep it running

I put it live on your domain, set up the basics, and keep it fast, safe and current as part of your monthly subscription — forever, or until you cancel.

Why UK Web Marketing

Proper websites, without the agency theatre.

Most small businesses are quoted four figures for a website, or sold something cheap that never gets found. I sit in neither camp — a genuinely good site, built fast, at a price that makes sense.

Start free — first month on me
  • One honest monthly price

£45/month, everything included. No upfront fee, no anchor 'was £X' tactics, no quarterly retainer review, no scope-creep invoices.

  • Built around your trade

Every site is written for the industry it serves — restaurants get menus, traders get stock, trades get call-outs.

  • Fast, modern, found

Quick-loading, mobile-first sites with SEO and structured data built in — so customers actually find you.

  • A company, not a Gmail

Operated by TicketWave HQ Ltd, a registered UK company you can verify — with a real person to call.

Why people actually choose me

10 things you get in your monthly subscription that agencies still charge thousands extra for.

  1. 01

    Same person, start to finish

You message Jordan. Jordan designs. Jordan builds. Jordan supports. No account manager, no offshore subcontractor, no "I'll check with the team and get back to you".

  2. 02

One monthly price · no surprises

£45/month is everything. No upfront fee, no "discovery phase" upcharge, no "the client asked for blue" invoice, no quarterly retainer review. Same number every month.

  3. 03

    Live preview before launch

You see and review your site on a private URL before anything goes public. I tweak until you're happy. You're never seeing it for the first time on the day it goes live.

  4. 04

    Hand-coded, no plugins

Every site is raw HTML, CSS and JavaScript. No 30 WordPress plugins to update. No template builder to outgrow. It loads in under a second on a mobile cellular connection.

  5. 05

    WCAG 2.2 AAA accessibility

This very site meets the highest accessibility standard — WCAG 2.2 Level AAA. The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines are the international standard for usable websites; Level AAA is the strictest tier. Better legal protection (Equality Act 2010), wider reach (1 in 5 UK adults have a disability), and Google rewards it in rankings.

  6. 06

    Technical SEO baked in

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) done properly: clean semantic HTML, structured data (JSON-LD — the format Google uses for rich snippets), XML sitemap, robots.txt, Open Graph + Twitter cards, mobile-first, Core Web Vitals near-perfect.

  7. 07

    Cloudflare's UK edge hosting

Your site sits on the same global network that runs Discord, Shopify and Stripe. UK visitors load it from a Cloudflare data centre in seconds. Free SSL (the padlock in the browser bar), DDoS shielded, daily backups — all included in your subscription.

  8. 08

    WhatsApp video calls

Got 5 minutes and a question? WhatsApp voice or video call. No Calendly link, no 90-minute Zoom, no "let me circle back". Same response time as messaging a mate.

  9. 09

    You own everything

Domain in your name. Code zipped to you on cancel. Stripe, Cloudflare, Google Business accounts in your email. Walk away with the lot whenever you like, no questions, no exit fee.

  10. 10

UK consumer law on your side

14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Cancel within 14 days of starting and get a full refund. Cancel later and the next monthly just doesn't bill.

Jordan Gilbert — founder of UK Web Marketing

Who's actually building this

Hi — I'm Jordan Gilbert.

The developer who'll actually build your site.

I've specialised in this for 7+ years — and I don't build from templates. Every site is hand-coded from raw HTML, CSS and JavaScript, the way the fastest, best-performing sites on the web are built. I'm an advanced full-stack developer; I studied engineering management at Loughborough University and went on to a Harvard education, then turned programmer. Right now I'm also serving as Fractional CTO to a number of international startups and established businesses — so the same standard of work that runs tech for serious companies is what goes into every UK Web Marketing site.

And it's a one-person operation by design: no agency, no account managers, no being passed around. When you message, you get me — from the first hello to the day you go live and beyond. I reply fast (usually within the hour), keep you in the loop without you ever chasing, and I'm happy to hop on a WhatsApp call or video call any time it helps. Cancel anytime: the subscription has no minimum term, no exit fee, no chase-up. After 12 paid months the site files transfer to you (I send a zip) so you can self-host or move it anywhere; cancel before then and the site simply comes down — that's how the free first month + £45/mo stays sustainable.

  • 7+ years specialising in small-business websites
  • Hand-coded, never templates
  • Loughborough & Harvard educated
  • Fractional CTO — international startups & SMEs

Questions, answered

The things people ask first.

Is it really £45 a month?

Yes — one flat monthly price, everything included: design, hand-coded build, fast UK-edge hosting, daily backups, security, minor content tweaks, and a real person to call. First month is free in the sense that no money leaves your account. From month 2 onwards £45 charges on the same day every month, until you cancel.

What happens when the free month ends?

Around day 25 — about a week before the first £45 charge — Stripe emails you a heads-up and so do I. The card you put down at sign-up is charged £45 on day 31 and every month after, until you cancel. No surprise bills; cancel from your Stripe email before then and the first charge never happens.

How long does it take?

Days, not months. Once I have your details I build quickly, you review it on a live link, and I launch when you're happy.

What if I want to cancel?

Cancel any time — one-click from your Stripe email. The subscription ends at the end of the month you've already paid for. Cancel during the free month and the first £45 never charges; the site comes down (fair — the build hasn't been paid for yet) and you keep your domain plus anything you brought. After 12 paid months together, the site files are yours to keep — cancel later and I email you a zip. Between month 2 and 12, cancel = site comes down, same as the trial period.

Why is it £45 and not £1,500 like an agency?

No agency overhead. One person — me, Jordan — designs, builds and supports every site, and Cloudflare's UK edge hosts it for pennies per site per month. Hand-coded sites need almost no ongoing maintenance compared to a WordPress site stuffed with 30 plugins. The maths works because the costs are genuinely that low; the price isn't a loss-leader.

What counts as a content update?

Minor changes are included every month at no extra cost — text edits, swapping an image, updating opening hours, adding a service description, contact-info changes, basic SEO tweaks. Major changes (a new page, a redesign, a new feature like an online shop or booking system) are quoted separately so the maths still works for both of us. WhatsApp me with what you've got in mind — I'll be straight about which side of the line it falls on.

Do I need a domain?

If you have one, I use it. If not, I'll help you get one — domains are inexpensive (~£10/year) and kept in your name.

What if I already have a website?

Even better — send it over, or run it through the free site check. I'll rebuild it properly: faster, modern, mobile-first and written around your trade.
